Hi Guys,
Apologies if this is already addressed elsewhere but I couldn't find much.
As the title suggests my '07 4.8i X5, when I fire it up, every now and then it will leak out of the exhaust what looks to be steam/very light white-ish smoke for a few seconds. I know these engines are prone to the valve stem seals going but understand that would be black/blue smoke?
Should I be worried? My local garage said it could just be water which is fine although I don't really understand how water would be getting in the exhaust besides condensation..
Any input be greatly appreciated, thanks.
What you're describing sounds perfectly normal on start-up. Find something else to fret about *wink*
