Bummer about the date change, I’m also going to be in Alaska (oddly enough) during the first two weeks in August. I still had the July date on my calendar and checked in this morning to find more info.

This will be the 3rd Dorkfest I’ve missed; 100% failure rate since buying my Coupe 😜

    Perhaps next year...

The day will start at 8:00am at the BMW Delivery Center (VDC). Lunch will also be served at the VDC. Next stop is the Mullin Museum from 1:00 -3:00pm.

A drive and dinner aren’t on the formal Dorkfest schedule, but we trust the grass roots organizers will make it happen.

Also, there will not be a host hotel. I plan to drive up from LA I’m the early morning like I used to do in the early Bimmerfest Santa Barbara days.
Nice!!! I'm back in!!! I changed my schedule and just got back from Europe, so it's looking like I can make it!!

Awesome you can make it Dan. Reaching out to you to help organize a canyon caravan for the people skipping the Mullin Museum!

Please register ASAP especially if you want your shirt the day of the event. We are putting the shirt order in this week.

Also, a group dinner is in the works.

Ugh, I'll be so close. Flying back from Hawaii on August 11, but don't land in Los Angeles until late at night. Only way I could make it is if I cut my Hawaii vacation short by a day...and also get a divorce.

We're planning an early informal (4:30sh) dinner, where the Mullin tour people and the canyon drive people can meet up. Most likely a pizza place in Camarillo.

you guys really need to consider doing Vegas if you want to revive this thing into a big major event.

Thank you to Dan (Danomite) Green for planning a canyon and coastal drive as an alternate to going to the Mullin Museum:

Start: VDC (BMW North America) 5650 Arcturus Ave, Oxnard, CA 93033

1st Stop: Paramount Ranch 2903 Cornell Rd, Agoura Hills, CA 91301

2nd Stop Trancas Country Market 30745 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265

3rd Stop: Point Mugu Rock, 799 Pacific Coast Hwy, NAS Point Mugu, CA 93042

End: PizzaMan Dan's, 2390 Las Posas Rd, Camarillo, CA 93010

Thank you to Tom Koger for arranging our informal Dorkfest Dinner at PizzaMan Dan's, beginning at 4:30. Hit him up for information on his new company, Alternative Performance Engineering (APE) that sells a Flex Fuel conversion.https://www.alternativeperformanceeng.com

Thanks Rob. I will be offering Dorkfest show specials for anyone that would like to buy a flex fuel conversion kit for their BMW. Track me down at the show, or talk to me at the dinner at PizzaMAn Dan's.

I'd like to attend but I just don't want to make the trip across the AZ/CA desert again with the coupe. Anyone coming through Tucson with an enclosed trailer full of shoes from other pussy-ass coupe owners? Lol

Damn, I even have a real Oxnard VPC BMW jumpsuit that I occasionally wear to BMWCCA events etc.

I’m 100% down. I have nothing against a long drive to SoCal, NorCal or Vegas. There just needs to be a date on the books well in advance so out of staters can plan ahead for such a trip and we can bring the attendance back to where it deserves to be (50+ coupes).

I’d say a minimum of two (2) months notice for an event of this size to allow for the word to spread and for people to block off their calendar.

    Looking forward to 2019!

Las Vegas in August, temperatures north of 100. Good test for the cooling system
