I am a long time AUDI owner but have always loved the look of the early 80's 6 series. I have been hunting for awhile and lurking on this forum as well as bigcoupe.com to learn what is needed to own one of these. Long story short: Glad to be here!
1980 635 CSI Euro
M90 L-Tronic
Getrag Close Ratio Sport Dogleg 5
3.07 LSD
Billsteins on all 4 - Lowering Kit
Magnaflow Stainless Exhaust
Miller MAF
CAT CAM
W.A.R. Chip
Recaro Seats
17" on Michelin Pilot Sports
I am just digging into her but she is 90%. Its just the little things that need some attention i.e. central locking issues etc. Hoping to get her back to 100% and meet some cool people doing it.

Sounds like you bought from a real enthusiast. Welcome
I had a bunch of Audi's, I always thought they were possessed. The only time I got check-mated during a car repair was replacing a control arm on an A6....oh and the axles that require Torx wrenches.

True. They required special tools to do most jobs. Mine were always reliable and good cars but like any Euro Models, maintenance was expensive and time consuming.
