2008 650i convertable climate control buttons

Looking to replace the climate control buttons that are worn ("chrome" worn off and cracked), is it true that I will be required to replace the entire climate control module? If so, has anyone replaced the module that can impart some instructions. Thank you, Mac

You can try looking up parts on your own on RealOEM.com, or visit a dealership. Some cars have repair kits available for the buttons, but most do not. I kinda doubt the E64 does, but I'm not certain. If you do replace the A/C control module (called the IHKA), it will have to be programmed/coded to the vehicle after replacement.
