I am interested in re-bending or re-shaping the fuel feed and return lines a smidge. Just at the frame where they come up to the engine bay. It would be nice to clock them straight up or rotate them away from the subframe. They sit RIGHT on my modified subframe and are nearly touching the engine mounts. It's not a big issue but it would be nice to move em.
Is this easy to do or does it put me at risk of pinching or snapping the lines?
Tanks are removed, have been for a year... but Im not 100% sure I'm keen on heating and bending.
With a tubing bender, you should be able to move them however you like.
The area was too tight for my bender but Im going to go to the hardware store and see if there are other options. I really should have handled this earlier, in hindsight.
If you want to bend it by hand putting one of those spring things over it first reduces the chance of kinking it. I assume you have the type of bender in the second picture and can't get that to work in the space you have.
Right, the bender I have is a bit too large, but Im going to see if there are more compact ones. What are those springs? Where would I find em?
Home Depot has them in Plumbing section, for bending copper tubing.
HDX, Tube Bending Spring Set, $9.95 /each

Harbor freight would have them also, probably.
Oh dang, I see. I had no idea that existed. Thanks for sharing.
Here is a brake line forming tool, maybe this one is compact enough at Harbor Freight,, I have this one.

Randy I think that will be perfect. Thanks
That looks like a nice tool, never seen one before. Been in HF many times and never noticed it.
HF has some really good hand tools at much better pricing, there Metric 1/2 drive Cr-Mo(Chrome Molybdenum Alloy Steel) impact sockets Pittsburgh Pro Line is a good example they are about $20 cheaper with lifetime warranty.
When one realizes that 17 /19 mm size is most of the bigger sizes on the car, a Cr-Mo flip socket combination of these two will cover a lot of applications, after that 30 mm and 36 mm round it up. Cr-Mo is harder steel than Cr-V and is recommended for impacts. Cr-Mo is like 12.9 Grade Bolts vs Cr-V 10.8 or 8.8.
