P0014 needs to stop!

P0014 keeps coming up even after replacing with an OEM intake cam sahft sensor, my question is does the Vanos solenoid have an effect on the sensor?

If you get a chance, can you use a tool that reads BMW manufacturer codes? It will give you more detail as to what is going on. P codes are vague.

Maybe your cams are out of time? Have you had any work up there?

Well, crap- CEL came on first thing this morning ....

Getting a new message on my scanner-

6a vanos exhaust camshaft tight or jammed.
And
68 exhaust camshaft end position not reached.

After deleting codes I only get 68.

Odd.

Hi, having the same code issue and was reading your thread. Seems your P0014 code reappeared. Did you resolve it and if do, what did it turn out to be?
