2 new Alternators, new IBS, new IVM, new Oil Sensor, good Battery! So WTH???

Current faults are 2E95 (DME: Generator) 2E8B (DME: Intelligent battery sensor) and no Oil temp reading but gauge cluster test passed.
So far in attempts to correct these issues I have replaced two Alternators and installed new IBS, new IVM, new Oil Sensor, and I have a good Battery.
I've been working on this car on and off for over a year now. Everything from interior repairs to removing the motor for other repairs and deep cleaning.
I'm not easily stumped, but these last issues are doing me in. I think I've tried everything to no avail. I'm hoping someone will be willing to share some insight.
I use ISTA and have a pretty complete shop. I own a small motorcycle dealership.

    Thanks for looking,

Do you have anything else connected to the battery negative terminal?

When the these problems first start - what happened first?

No, nothing else is connected to the battery and the car seems to be unaltered.

    The history of these issues:
1- The existing alternator failed, so I replaced it with a re-man part (same manufacturer as the old one). Got the 2E95 fault, so I exchanged it and installed the second one, same fault again. Voltage reading from the alternator is 14.2 - 14.4v. taken from the alternator. Battery at rest stays about 12.25v.
2- IBS fault came shortly after the installation of the first alternator.
3- Oil temp gauge presented after re-installing the motor. I traced every wire from the sensor and could not find any damage.

Those three parts communicate on the BSD line (bit-serial data). Something is preventing communication. It could be the DME.

I would take it to a good bmw independent shop for dx. and stop throwing parts at it
