10W60 oil: is it really 5W30 with a different name?

Hello: Quite strange feeling to note than the last several posts have been mine. Anyway, from my S54 days, I remember reading somewhere that the specialty oil BMW calls 10W60 is actually 5W30. This is not a statement, this is a question. Again: SEARCH may give me several treads to read, and on a one line post on the 17th page there may be the answer. I'll keep reading...maybe somebody knows the answer.
