Hi Guy! i think its about time i start a build thread for my car. I've been lurker here for a few years and finally decided its time i build a turbo E36. Car is originally my wife car from high school and she did most of the modding but we've decided its best to just build one track dedicated car instead of 2 E36 track cars...
Here is the progress from NA - Turbo in the last 3 months.
Specs:
1995 318is ( originally bone stock with Tan Interior years ago )
Motor:
M52 - CES turbo kit ( cutring,copper,ARP)
-S52 Cams
-M50 manifold
-Top mount Twinscroll Manifold - CSgarage
-Bullseye 362 Batmowheel
-UUC twin disk clutch
-ZF 330i trans
-3in downpipe
-3in custom Exhaust
-24x12x4.5 threadstone intercooler
-2.5" hot side
-3" cold side
-AEM FPR
-Walbro 450
-80lb injectors
-Ross Machine Fuel Rail -6an in and out
-Condorspeed shop sold motor/trans mounts
after 3 long months i was finally Able to drive it back home under its own power.
Car was on the dyno and it made 375whp/294lbs @ 12psi on a Mustang Dyno, few members know the dyno that was used and it reads really low. So I'm actually Happy with the outcome!

I'm guessing you want room to grow with those 80 lbs injectors.....that Mustang dyno reads really, really low if that is the case. I would expect your torque value to be a lot closer to your whp around 4 to 5k RPMs....I don't know that turbo, but at 12 psi, you should be in the mid 300s for sure, no?
1997 Arctic Silver/Black M3
CES Stage IV (651rwhp/615rwtq @ 24 psi)
1999 Techno Violet/Dove M3
Auto/Convertible and staying stock!
Have to see the boost curve plotted on the dyno with hp and tq. Also, it’s a 2.8L.
The 80lbs is for the room to grow and also for E85 but having only one pump around here it doesn’t help. Chickenhed and Aveegrewal have been on this dyno before and it’s really a heartbreaker. We had tested the theory using a stock E36 Eurospec with a RD motor. That car made 319whp on a dynojet and it only made 240whp on this mustang dyno on the same day.

Ross Machine website says the rail is discontinued ?
For those of you that made a rail yourself, what is involved?
Looks like it’s pretty easy to get the extrusions, but what about the injector bungs? Those must be sold as well? Then it’s just a matter of welding or drilling holes and tapping them in?

I can’t wait to see it in person. I wish I had my car going
Dude! Nice build! May the FI Gods be with us!
Btw, What is that Front bumber lip?
then it seems like I'm missing a lot of torque on this dyno, i will be taking to a dynojet dyno and see the differences once I've sorted out all the leaks. lol
Thanks!
its a Rare Old school Racing Dynamics. theres only a hand full floating around here.

That dyno sucks. The dyno graph I got from that place was all messed up compared to any other dyno I’ve been to. My car would have been high 500s (dynojet) at the boost setting I was at and I was at about 450 whp on that dyno.
Lol! Yah it wasn’t even calibrated also when you dyno’d there so it would’ve probably been lower hahaha. I will probably take it to evolution as that’s where I took it for the NA dyno pulls so then I have something to compare with. But we will see who I go to so many choices lol

Speed Pro in Surrey has a Dynojet. That’s where Avee and I did our pulls.
a small update,
fixed the wheel fitment with a different set of wheels and rear camber to Zero. ill be getting the CCW's rebarrelled to 10.5 square instead of the staggered fitment. also installed a Fancywide rear diffuser.

Goofy to the autox guy, sweet to the 1/4 mile guy.
What is the car going to be used for again?
