Damage from Slow Oil Leaks in Engine Compartment

Dealership failed to secure oil filler cap (or it was a faulty seal), and there was a slow leak for 2 months under the hood, causing toxic air to come into cabin. The dealership has spent hours cleaning it up replacing the filler cap and the bottom of the engine cover. Will this be the end of my problems or is my car forever damaged. I'm worried that I will always smell oil, and I can't afford to harm my lungs further since I already have allergies to all sorts of products. Has anyone EVER had a new car end up with an oil leak caused by a cap failing?

Seems like they took care of the problem, and you're overthinking it. If they cleaned the leaked oil, and replaced the underbody panel, I don't think there would be any oil residue left to smell.

Let car idle in driveway, turn on AC system, use outside air, and let run for a couple of hours. Drive on highway. If it still smells, take it back, or ask for another car. Also, sliced apples under the front seats, will work as a natural deodorizer.
