    Convertible top fail how change rear shock

    Anyone know how to manually open a non working automatic soft top 99 bmw 328ic to get at top of rear shock, want to change rear shocks Thanks

    My semi automatic had a manual release lever located under the front edge of the rear seat bottom on the driver side. you pull that to disengage the top motors. Then you can open and shut the top as needed for shock access.
