Trunk lid actuator and or release switch is not releasing the trunk lid - can use the key to open the trunk - in and turn counterclockwise - pops open
none of the interior buttons are working...
question is it the actuator (item 5/6) or the trunk lid lock w/ microswitch (item 1) mechanism
on the diagram that is bad and how can i check them?
I think i can hear the actuator trying to release when the key fob is pressed plus I get a dimming of the lights on the license plate lights when it is is attempting to release ...not sure if that is indicative of anything - possibly that the actuator is bad and trying to draw to much current?
thanks for your help

Hi guys my problem is the trunk lid won’t stay locked. Sometimes I have to slam the lid a couple of times for it to stay locked. I’m thinking this may be the actuator. Has anyone had a similar problem?
