Hi. I just bought this Touring som 2001. I have a problem with the rear lights. Bulbs are ok. I need some help to why my rear lights are not coming on. Look at my photo. Thanks in advance
Rear lights not working
3rd brake light not working. The other 2 brake lights work fine
There are dimm red lights, i think these are parking lights? (see photo)
Reverse lights works on the left side. Right side does not
Blinkers are ok
All front lights are ok
Rear fog lights are ok
In the car it says "check number plate lights" - these work fine
Rear wiper og sprinkler are ok

Anything not working correctly in the hatch I would check the wiring harness coming from the body into the hatch, look for broken wires
Thank you. I have ordered a "thunk-repair-harness". I'll try that next

I had rear wiper issues and it was broken wires in hatch loom .
Now have an e61 and have ⚠️ warnings on dash about lamps , but in my case they are working . I assume someone has jumped the loom over to the bulb that wasn’t working .
I also will be doing a loom repair in the summer months .

Please, when you go through the procedure, take pictures and do a DIY. I just noticed that my hatch light (inside on the lower trim) has gone out and its not the bulb. The wires dont seem to be getting power and I'm afraid this one might be only the beginning.
Okay so an update.
The repair kit i ordered does not fit my car. It's missing 1 wire on the left side and 5 on right. I did change left side because there were broken wires. I added one wire. All lights are now working.
Now i have a new problem though.
My keyfob does not work. I cant lock and unlock the car on the key. Well on both my keys. Both are charged. And i can't open the thunk. I can hear the motor releasing when i press the trunk-release-button in the cabin. but its not opening.
Any ideas?
Sorry did not take pictures. There are a lot of trim to remove. Then i just took one wire at a time.
Update. A fuse for the central locking were blown (located by the battery). And the keys were not working because I had the battery disconnected shortly. Apparently you need to reactivate them. Now everything is in order again
