    E28 seat upgrades

    What’s happening peeps.
Does anyone or has anyone done so. I’m looking to replace the front seats on my e28 535i with some after market racing seats or even the e30 swap & brackets. I’ve been looking online but the results are
limited. Any suggestions or directions would be great! I dnt want to break the bank on this project.
    Thanks y’all!

Not sure if you'd be up to it because it is quite a job, but you can swap an e34 interior in with some modifications. Namely, removing the front bracket from the front seats to make room for bolting to the frame. Back bench is even more involved, requires shrinking the frame by cutting out foam from the side. Also you would need to install brackets to secure the back bench as well. Again, bit a project but looks good in my opinion.

Hi, I have done the swap numerous times including an E28 that I currently have. I have a set of of Recaro seats from a saturn Ion that can be made to fit onto the BMW sliders. Those are vinyl and fabric, no tears or stains. I also have the matching rear seats that would require some surgery to fit. I also have a set of sparco seats that are fabric covered, also with no tears or stain.

I also have a set of BMW manual seat sliders that can be made to work for this application. I am located nearby in Westchester county, 30-40 minutes away.
Give me a call at 914 490 7683 Andy, thanks

I have Porsche 944 seats in my E28, I just fabricated some brackets to adapt them to bolt to the stock floor bolt pattern. They look the part, a little lower (great for me at 6'2") and are almost 25lbs lighter than the stock comfort seats. I picked them up from craigslist a little while ago for $250
People who enjoy driving, drive manuals. People who enjoy numbers, drive the other transmissions.
