Just in case you missed it... S70 drivetrain for sale!

Well here's the mother load... CSi drive train from CD00174:

    https://m.ebay.com/itm/1995-BMW-850C...E/162986657961

Would love to buy this if not to just put the motor on display.... But would prefer to swap into my 840ci!

Apparently been for sale since 2012? From the purple haze car? Decodes as Calypsorot... Either way seems like a good deal... What am I missing here? (aside from an empty and waiting CSi chassis lol)

It is a nice bunch of parts, but that is exactly what it is. To verify the condition of every piece would be a daunting task to say the least. I am sure the sellers heirs will have a much more reasonable price.

Wasn't really so daunting at all... lot included:
60k mile S70 engine, with BMW shop then doing the following preparation:
All new - Shrick cams, valve seals, head gaskets, intake gaskets, injectors, coolant pipes, all gaskets, water pump, alternator, magnecore wires All new from BMW (except wires). Powder coated intakes, and high end dry sump pan and pump. Engine could sit in a living room as an art piece, it's that nice.

Plus 6sp CSI transmission from the same car, engine loom, ebox, and full fusebox and loom. 2 complete sets of exhaust manifolds and down pipes, one set on engine with new gaskets of course. Original CSI S70 DME's & EML too, a long with intake connectors and MAF sensors.

    Plus...
Full stainless steel turbo manifolds and down pipes 2 full sets of M70 ECU's and EML, extra ebox, and new short shift kit. CSI instrument cluster, CSI cams...

But wait, there's more- Brand NEW BMW OEM -
    S70 MAF sensor
    All rubber mounts and hoses
Clutch disk, pressure plate, and two throw out bearings
2 BRAND NEW CSI S70 DME computers
    All sensors, including O2 sensors
    Rebuilt steering pump
    New charcoal cannister
    Brand new M S70 engine cover /
    new Guibo
And another 1/2 dozen boxes of OEM BMW branded parts, too much to list.

Worth exponentially more than asking price
