Hi, I’m a proud 1st time BMW owner. I just purchased a 2015 528i with 38,000 miles from a BMW dealership in the Los Angeles area. It looks practically new and still has the factory warranty until Nov 2018. I expect to put on only 3,500 miles (It’s a second car) before Nov 18. It was originally offered as a CPO, but then after 2 months they took off the CPO and lowered the price. I paid $22,500 plus taxes and fees. It was previously a 1 owner lease and according to the service records, at 30,000 miles the thermostat was replaced. At 36,500 miles, they repaired full flow filter leakage, Rubbers mounts on axle, oil service and spark plugs. Is there anything I should check or do before my warranty expires in Nov? Are local BMW mechanics (with good reviews) alright to use instead of the dealership? I live in San Gabriel, CA. Should I buy the maintenance package? I think it was about $1,800 for 1 or 2 years. Should I purchase a extended warranty? No need to answer all my questions, but whatever advice you offer is appreciated. Thank you.
I'm not familiar with forums, so I hope I am posting this in the correct forum.

Take it to any dealer/mechanic and ask for a PPO inspection.
