    2001 e46 M54 gas leak

Anyone have an e46 that has had a gas leak by the left (drivers side) rear of the car just in front of the rear tire? It is a very slow drip. My tank is full, but the car has not been driven all winter. The drip just started about a week ago. I suspect one of the fuel lines are leaking somewhere near the front of the tank but I can’t get underneath the car for a good look where it is in the garage.
Has anyone had a similar problem with theirs?
I appreciate any help with this.
    Thanks.

Remove the low cushion rear seat, remove access panels look at the top of the gas tank where the threaded ring is that holds the fuel pump in or sender check there

The electric fuel pump is on the passenger side of the car. There is a sucking jet pump on the driver’s side.

Basically, the fuel tank appears to be a single piece, and not 2 separate tanks. Here the link to realoem:

Thanks. I’m familiar with the website. Am going to have a look at the car this weekend if I have time.

Thanks again for the advice. I pulled the rear seat and had a look at the fuel sender locations (both sides). Right side where (I think) the pump is, was high and dry. Left side (where my gas leak is) had a mouse nest in it that was sitting in a puddle of gasoline.
I cleaned out the nest and siphoned out the gas. Funny thing is that, aside from the puddle of gas, I don’t see where the leak is coming from, especially considering that the car had not been started all winter. I turned ignition to ‘run’ in order to pressurize fuel system and no visible leak.
So now I am trying to figure out 1) what is the best way to get rid of mice and 2) where that puddle of gas came from...

OK, I filled up the tank, parked it, and next day there’s gas dribbling down the tank. I’m thinking the gasket around the sending unit needs to be replaced because it only seems to leak when the tanks full.
Does this make sense or am I overlooking something?
