Best Turbo for 500WHP S52 - GTX3582R Gen 2?

Having the the EWG in addition to the IWG gives good boost control but at higher boost the IWG is blowing open. A higher pressure WG spring would work but I need to have 13-14 psi spring pressure for the WI failsafe. I’m going to use the four port solenoid to hold the WGs closed until target boost is met. 25 psi with the EFR9180 feels great and then it drops to 21 psi which isn’t bad but not as great.

Have you measured EBP on your new setup?

So I'm assuming one could run just an IWG EFR on the Steedspeed manifold assuming they have the higher boost spring in the wastegate can?.....and pluged the EWG Vband?

The IWG is available only with the 0.92 housing. I doubt it would control boost, and if you run an EFR too fast you can damage the turbine. If you want to run a 9180 flat out maybe buy the 9174 instead — the turbine wheel might hold up better.

CES runs an EWG 9180 with 1.45 housing and I think they said they can get as low as 22 psi with just a 44mm external gate but you should double check that psi — the number 16 psi also pops into my head, which would seem hard to believe but maybe the big housing slows the turbo down enough.
