    Removal Dashboard instructions

Any E24 owners, enthusiast that have videos, manuals or something to remove my dashboard and fix my odometer? I’m trying to prepare my car for The South Shark Fest at the end of the month.
    Thanks

There's a downloadable guide in the How To section of www.odometergears.com . They're a SESF sponsor and will probably be the ones helping with parts to fix the odometer so it's a great resource!

I don't know if it's the case in every dash replacement. But helped with my son's 6. We were unable to get the 4 clips where the dash clips into the fire wall after trying for a significant amount of time. Ended up having to pull the windshield. Only compounding the job.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully no need to do that.

Are you trying to remove your instrument cluster, or the whole dash? Instrument cluster is an easy job.

Instrument cluster. The miles stopped working and the abs, brake and oil light at the right below turn on and off (intermittent). Any advice for those issues?

For the cluster you remove the steering wheel, 2 screws from underneath that hold the steering mechanism/lock (is falls down a few centimeters).
Then you should be able to pull the cluster off after you remove its screws.

Also, Since you have an airbag car be sure to disconnect the battery, then the airbag connector under the steering wheel and connectors in the glove box so you don’t blow yourself through the window . I also second Leonardo’s recommendation about the screws holding the column up. Definitely saves you a few hours.

Thanks Hakeem. I unplugged the battery and stirring wheel. Is the glove box connection necessary as well?

Nope, it’s not welded. I had the same problem, You just have to get back there with a flat head screw driver and it’ll come off.

    Odometer issue.
Hey guys, I put the cluster back and still does not work.
I changed the 3 gears. E1 the smallest gear was broke. Are there any suggestions?

Hopefully you figured it out. Wish I could help but my odometer hasn’t worked since I got my car.

Is the OBC working? When I removed my cluster my OBC wouldn’t work and it turns out I swapped the blue/white connectors that plugs in the back. I think it might be the same issue.

Hey sorry for the delayed response. On board computer works well, If OBC means that. I’ll remove it the cluster and start again.
The ANTI-LOCK light is driving me crazy. It’s on all the time. Any ideas?
