Question 30-0300 or 30-4110 AEM wideband?

The 0300 has more range (8-20:1, vs 10-20:1) has a larger face, reads in 1/100ths, super-shallow mount depth, and just looks better in general - but the 4110 doesn't lose calibration. That's a big one. Thoughts? Opinions?

    Bigger Range is irrelevant.

If you’re outside the smaller range you are doing something way wrong. If you’re tuning from the gauge one revision will pull you inside the smaller range.

OK, so you addessed the first 5 words of my post but didn’t actually offer any insight to either of these two gauges. I’m guessing you’ve used neither.

Sure if that’s the way you wanna take it.

But you basically said one gauge has larger range and doesn’t need calibration vs other stuff. I minimized it down to one variable for you.

Guess it was lost on you. Good luck.

Range, aesthetics, aesthetics, aesthetics, calibration. I vote # 2. I like mine and like Vollosso mentioned the extra range isn't necessary unless you have problems and you need more reassurance of said problems.

I have the bimmerworld plastic steering column gauge pod and had to trim a bit of it to make this gauge fit w/ wiring. If you're placing the gauges elsewhere or using the Rallyroad gauge pod this may not be an issue as far as sizing.

I also wanted it to better match the AEM Truboost next to it so I went for the 4110

Having a larger face means it’s easier to read - that’s not aesthetics. And how is greater resolution an aesthetics thing? And then here you are talking about how you bought the 4110 because it matched your gauges, THAT’S aesthetics. Yeah, it’s all lost on me. Holy hell what a bunch of hypocritical idiots in this place.

For what its worth, i have an AEM Failsafe WBO2 and when the car is running at 14.7, the gauge actually reads 14.4.
This seems to be a common issue with this particular gauge that AEM fail to recognise and address. I dont know about the rest of the gauge range, but something to consider.

My innovate lc-2 was always perfect, and matched what the narrowband/fuel trims inidcated. I had both WBO2 running just to test and sure enough, the lc-2 read 14.7 while the aem read 14.4. Same power source, same ground point.

I’ve compared four different wide bands, with new and used snsors and gotten four different readings from 10’s to 13’s. It’s troubling. One was the 30-4110 AEM and one was the AEM failsafe.
