Hello guys,
Recently have swaped an M62b44TU engine from a E53 X5 year 2001, to 320CI E46 year 2001. We have installed engine Wirings to the car also ews and keys of the engine. Now the car crank but does not start, we find out that there is no fuel pressure and sparks. We have checked fuses relays fuel pumps, every thing is OK. When diagnosing with autocom its tells: 148 EWS 3.3 DME-EWS. We have tried to synchronize the DME and EWS but it says: Syncro not Possible. we have tried reprog a second EWS and still not working. ad now we have being thinking about deleting the ews3.3. Guys we are really stuck, what are your suggestions ? and we would be very thankful for any of your help!

Forgot to say that the donor car has an auto tranny.
You need to virginize the ME7.2 dme first (clear out old ISN, only in boot mode), and only then it will sync.

you may need to re-align them. They can get out of alignment if one powers on while the other is unplugged. This can be done with any of the usual BMW scanners. This process only works if both already have matching ISN's, it just simply resets the rolling code table.
