    2008 750i Engine rattle

I have an 08' 750i with about 125k. I noticed at a stoplight the car started making this rattle like something had broke loose in the engine. No codes are showing. Once I noticed the noise I drove straight home with no issues in getting there. Car seems to still operate like normal. Need a diagnosis for DIY cause this sounds REALLY expensive from a shop.

Timing Chain guides, and timing chain tensioners are pretty common on these.

Would need an engine code to further answer your question.

Not sure what happened to the video but heres another.

Ok so heres the info I've managed to come up with:

    codes:
29cc- combustion fire on multiple cylinders
    29d4-misfire cylinder 8
    2f9e- Thermal oil sensor
    2d0f- Airflow sensor
    2f08- intake air temp sensor
    51ac- CAN key inserted

The computer in the car isn't saying anything is wrong. Everyone I've talked to has told me the timing chain guide is probably the problem. So i went ahead and pulled both valve covers and the right side upper timing cover and from what i can tell everything is good in there. No plastic or anything came out of the oil when i drained it either. The chains are not showing any kind of unusual wear as if they were banging on the case. No metal in the oil either. Tensioners seem fine.
    Chains are tight.
