    Thumbs up Working VIN decoder?

ETK.cc and bimmer.work both are down.

Anyone have a lead for a working Euro VIN decoder?

    Thanks

Not a Highline, not a Hartge. But is turbocharged.

http://bimmer.work/ BMW VIN Decoder website is not working. I tried 4 different browsers, from work and home. I get the same message = "Something went wrong, please try again." Used before on the same (2) VIN numbers. Was trying to show a friend, and it didn't work. So I tried my VIN, same results.

    Anyone know why?

I just as a pal at a BMW to run it for me now. Hopefully a decoder comes back online for us.

just google bmw vin decoder and a working one usually will pop up. I've change the bookmark a few times in the last couple years.

This week: https://decoder.bvzine.com Its front page is kinda noisy but I can find the spot for the vin and use it.

I was just about to say this.

And it already depended which decoder you used (when working). Some show just the 940 code "Special request", others showed detailed specs what this request was.

Two that did, Bimmer.work and decoder.bvzine.com both no longer work.

I also found a website that gives you the same information for any BMW and Mini!
    https://carvininfo.com

All service records, service recalls, damage report and key readings.

    Cheers!

This reeks to spamming one of these too many paid car report websites.

newmdecoder.com works. But its pay per use. I just took a chance at the 5for$5 one. It worked great but you need the full VIN. Once Im out of those, I'll buy the 100 for $25 package, making them .25 each. I can pay .25 a report, thats a good deal!

As of 09/03/2020 the two remaining tested and working options are :

Just make sure you avoid all the fake 'start' ads junk, enter the full vin in the correct box, solve the captcha and hit submit at the bottom of the page.

For the website above, click on the highlighted Decode link, fill out info and they will email you all detailed specs within the hour.

Hope this helps and stays available for a minute!

    yes
A free vin check from https://vinspy.eu will give you a general idea of the car from America or Europe, and a detailed report will reveal all the data located in state databases and those. vehicle passport.
Now I will describe what exactly you can find out by analyzing almost any VIN code:
    - Car producer and model
    - Year of issue
    - Body type and color
    - Engine displacement and fuel type
    - Car theft

All data is true, since most of the services take information about cars from one database.
