Hi Folks, wife came home today said the check engine light was on. I hooked up my scanner and a P0021 code came up Intake Camshaft Position Timing - Over - Advanced (bank 2).
It's running fine slight rapid ticking coming from passenger side (sounds like an injector?) and only heard with the engine cover off. I erased the code took it for a quick spin vanos kicked in like normal and code is gone. (for now anyways)
No oil leaks, thinking it is a solenoid to me, am I on the right track? I'm in full denial about the TCG as there is no chain rattle.

You got the timing guide warning,
E85 fueled, Eaton m112 supercharged 4.5L M62TU, TTV racing flywheel, Spec stage 2+ clutch, 88c thermostat, eibach sway bars, wavetrac 3.15 lsd, m5 steering box, Quantum 340lph fuel pump, Dinan camber plates, some powerflex bushings, Supersprint headers, M5 cats, 2001 gas pedal upgrade and many other things done. all diy by me

Error code came back today, drove about 700 KMS since I erased the DTC with out any issues. The Engine is quiet and running fine. If it's the guides then it won't be repaired so hoping it's a solenoid or sensor issue.
I erased the code again and will see if the DTC comes back.
