sorry to hear...wow....I knew it was lower body......but espn didnt offer a great view.

how does such craziness even happen?....I had heard the teams "release" protocol is a bit wonky.

it seems there was another ferrari based team w/ a similar stuck wheel issue?....it was mentioned on espn coverage

The same, Raikkonen's Ferrari. Today it was a problem with the mechanic that puts the green light on, wasn't aware the rear wheelman had problems, and released the car.

geez....he literally had his left lower leg and foot wedged up against the tire.......cannot imagine how quickly the break occurred due to the extreme speed of an F1 take off

always chance of vascular issues w/ such a forceful break

No kidding. They don't even try to hide it.

I cannot understand why Ferrari released Kimi when the rear left wheel hadn't even come off yet.

Great race overall, seemed to be a lot more going on than there was in Australia.

Also, Ericsson in the points! He was up to 6th at one point.

The Ferrari incident on Sunday was their second of the weekend. They were already fine €5k, so the shit is going to hit the fan, and I would be surprised if they don’t lose some constructors points, given the severity of the pitman’s injury. I hope he’s going to be ok and can return to the team in some capacity.

Was there a technical change that could have potentially been leading to all these pit stop issues, or is it just chance? I know that once it happens it's probably on their minds, aka more likely to happen because they're distracted...

That was an insane race. I'm really curious what MM's penalty is going to be...

Also in the news from Bahrain:

Hamilton, the utter d***head, after puncturing Verstappen's tire in the race then decided to call Verstappen a d***head (as he was preparing to walk onto the podium, since he didn't have a puncture to ruin his race). I just don't understand how people manage to live their lives with such low IQ, I guess in Hamilton's case it is only due to every little thing being catered for by daddy and big corporations his whole life. Otherwise he would probably be ram-raiding jewellers' shops with a stolen moped or something.

Well, at least it was good to hear that Hamilton admitted this way that he was wrong all along and a complete d***head when battling Rosberg and others and getting his own tire punctured /wing damaged in similar situations. But I'm sure he doesn't have the mental capacity to understand this concept. For sure he doesn't understand and he continues to believe that him doing something idiotic is actually heroic and perfect (and the other is a d***head), and then someone else doing that exact same thing is the complete opposite...

Abrasive track surface, track temps, taking a strategic gamble to improve position at race end. Probly in that order.

Did anyone else notice the thug Hulkenberg try to run the viking Magnussen off the track, who promptly returned the favor at the next turn? I was amused.
