can anyone recommend an inexpensive borescope that I can connect to my android phone?

I see there are a million choices on Amazon or ebay, but not sure what spec to look for. I am sure there are junk and decent in that pile of choices.

    TIA

Depstech. I just got one and it works very well. It was on Amazon for $37 but went on sale for $30.

    Thanks Fixr,

I did a bunch of reading since I knew nothing about these borescopes. Came up with a wish list of specs and just pulled the trigger on a, what sounds like a sweet Depstech unit, for $47.

    Here is link: https://www.amazon.com/Depstech-Semi...ct_top?ie=UTF8

The specs that seemed to matter:

    semi-rigid cable
    15 feet long
    8mm dia camera size max
    6-8 LEDs that are adjustable
WiFi (this way don't have to have phone, tablet or PC connected to the scope)
    HD - 1200P
    30FPS
Focal Length 2 inches to 14 inches............this is huge because most scopes have a focal length of 1 -2 inches
battery life - this one has 1800mAh (lasts a few hours)

It will be here in a couple days.

I bought this Depstech borescope to look into the cylinder. Couldn’t see jack with the mirror on. Mirror off it seems fine. Amazon has a $199 one that will bend to look up at 180 degrees.

You bought the one like I bought?

I had an idea in my head instead of the mirror. Why not tie a fish line to the camera and once inserted into the cylinder pull on the fish line to turn the head to look up at the valves? would that work?

I have only played with mine in the living room so far. lol. but I really like the focal length of 1 to 14 inches.

Actually I bought the yellow one from amazon, probably the exact same thing. That string trick might work. I pushed it in and tried to bend it back around by pressing it on the piston to get a little better angle. Didn’t work and the mirror came loose in the housing. It’s a slick tool though, hope I find a use for it!
