Ideally yes. The reservoir is a must as it has already collected metal particles from the aging pump and it's not "washable" since the filter is built-in. Regarding the hoses, you have to at least clean the one mentioned by bmwdirtracer (that one I had forgotten about, sorry) and if it seems in good shape you don't have to change it.
dworthy: I'm afraid changing the fluid alone (as a curative measure anyway) is not really useful because once the metal particles get stuck inside the reservoir they prevent any fluid from flowing freely, whether old or new.
I had to change two pumps before I knew that the whole system needs to be changed/cleaned where possible, otherwise it can keep going on forever.

I'll have to agree. I did flush the system 2x in the past year. I think it will take more than just a flush to fix this issue. The has 94K which I think is about the time you start experiencing PS issues.
Update:
Have been driving the car for about 150 miles now and no stalling issues. I will say that upon start it does have a rough "wave" like idle that settles out after running for a couple minutes. I did add new fuel with additive in hopes it clears out. NO CEL or lights! If there is anything you guys can add to maybe solve the "rough" please let me know.
Thank you
That's good news! Did you change the fuel filter? If you did I would say just give it some time and drive it for now, things are probably going to get in order.
If you did NOT, it's even better since it will allow the old one to collect any dirt flushed by the additive. Another couple hundred miles and change it...

That's normal, due to fuel management transitioning,
from open loop at start up - to closed loop once O2 sensors are warmed up.
Sometimes a DME update can help smooth things out,
maybe a BMW tech with access to SIB on this forum will respond,
and be able to supply the details on how, and if required.

Following this post, either the fact that I have taken the ignition coils + spark plugs out and back in (without replacing them) OR the fact that I have cleared adaptations have resolved the remaining of my idling issues.
Immediately after starting the car the idle was spot on and steady, so maybe clearing adaptations can actually help...
If anything it might save some time over the DME's "learning curve"

I did not change the filter out just yet but, plan on doing so once the fresh tank full of gas runs through with additive.

I did reset adaptions a little ways back. If there isn't an issue resetting them again I will go and reset once more.
No issues that I know of. If you don't your DME will adapt itself to the new mechanical environment as well, but it might take a little more time.

Resetting adaptations causes no harm,
I try to perform one every time I replace a failed sensor that changed engine operating conditions.
I like to start with a fresh part, clean slate-concerning adaptations.
Here we go again lol.. Took it out for a drive today and experienced random loss of throttle response and stalled out when coming to a stop sign. No lights on dash (yet). At this point I'm temped to sell!
Ummm, okay, I'll bite. How much? And how many pedals does it have?

Dugi, we're 6 pages into this now, and I seem to recall that there's a very glaring omission. Maybe I'm wrong?
What are the BMW specific codes ???

Have you looked at the Foxwell N 520?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-BMW-MIN...-/172319102926
EDIT:
Now, be aware that I've never used this particular device, because I have access to several pro diag machines. But I'd guess that besides giving you the codes, it can likely read the throttle position sensors at both the throttle motor "actuator", and on the linkage.
If all the data from these sensors don't correspond exactly, the DME will shut off throttle response. In other words....maybe you don't need a throttle actuator. Maybe you just need a throttle position sensor...or maybe the throttle linkages / blades are binding, because they're dirty.

Thank you for the suggestion. have you ever heard of this one used it?

Ohh ok I see. Ill look into these!
Update:
Not pulling any codes. I'm going to go down the list by replacing the front TPS. Ill work my way down to the rear, and pedal. Hopefully that will solve it. If all fails its actuator time!
What scan tool did you end up purchasing to confirm lack of BMW specific codes?,
we're not talking about OBD2 codes.
Going down the list and replacing parts is going to be expen$ive,
but if you got the money - who am I to tell you how to spend it!
Btw, if you have no codes due to recent scan+clear, adaptations reset,
I suggest performing a drive cycle, mix of city-highway,
then scan for any codes that may appear.
+1, especially if you don't intend to keep the car at least a few years. The way I see it, buy one of the scanning tools mentioned by the guys or a K+DCAN OBDII cable for €15 shipped, set up your laptop to perform diagnosis with INPA following 328Power04 thread.
It'll be money/time well spent and you'll be able to use it not only for that issue but also in the future.
P.S.: if you go the laptop/INPA way I can provide you with a "fresh" link from a very professionnal Chinese seller that I ordered from recently.

Yea I think laptop is the route Id like to go. Can I use a Mac? Or does it need to be Microsoft based laptop?
I agree, going down the list of parts could get expensive but, we already ruled out so much lol. I do want to keep the car so if I have to invest a little into it I will.
It has to be running on windows as far as I know. Have a look at 328Power04's thread, everything is explained:

Here is a link to the cable you need (you can also get it on ebay or other merchants as explained by Abel):
