So the powder coated was backed up a couple weeks. I pulled an audible and jumped to stainless on the brace and added a rib...

Tell me what you guys think:

that's much better. With the rib on it you can also make it thinner. 3/16 would be plenty I think. I assume your getting that laser cut in 2 pieces then weld them together?

Yep exactly. Its hard to see but it’s plugged, and it’ll be stitched.

Its out of 7 gauge so basically 3/16. I did some quick calculations and it’s way more than enough. Didn’t wanna jump into plate if I didn’t have to.

    The logo will be etched.

All in all I’m happier with im the brace out of stainless.

I love making stuff out of stainless. It welds like butter the cost is usually offset by not needing to paint or powdercoat. I make lots of stuff out of stainless.

these seat brackets were like 50 bucks a piece to laser cut. The flanges are attached with a slot cut to form a hinge so I just had to bend them 90 degrees by hand and weld up the slot. Even easier if I had a brake to bend them.

My shifter. I heated it with a torch till it turned colors.

Sealed airbox for my 4 wheeler. My brother loves to make fun of me for this.

Here is the final group buy pricing including shipping to the continental 48.

This pricing takes into account that these are somehow pre-orders. I will be testing everything before shipping these and I can assure everyone fitment and form will be perfect. The base kit will include everything you need to get the trans in the car minus a shifter, guibo, and driveshaft. The carrier option below is an option for those of you who like your various shift /short shift kits, it replicates oem style ball clip lock. This pricing will be available until first ship date.

    Estimated Early ship date: 5/14/18

Transmission Swap Kit (as below): $2950

    • 6061 CNC Adapter Ring
    • 20Ga Stainless Laser Cut Dust shield
    • Laser cut, CNC Bent, Stainless Transmission brace
    • Twin-disk billet Clutch kit (Fiber compound 800Tq / Carbon 1000Tq setup)
    • Adapter ring bolt kit
    • Transmission bolt kit
    • Dowel sleeves
    • Stainless Dual Shear Selector rod (DSSR)
      • Selector rod bolt kit

    • Stainless Pivot Pin
    • Instructions on install with torque values

    Additional Items:

    • Billet Shift Carrier for OEM style shifters $195
    • Custom DSSR length $0

If you are interested feel free to PM me or post here with the following:
    • Clutch disk combo (Fiber/Carbon)
    • Billet Carrier (Yes/No)
    • Special DSSR length (mm center to center)
    • CES Driveshaft? (Part Number from CES's Post: BMWSH2-CES_-_)

I can do a lower power setup a bit cheaper. I did a large run of flywheels to keep the cost down and went with a twin disk flywheel. To do another run would be cost prohibitive at this time.

These will obviously work na, and since they are 8.5” and lighter they will be more fun to drive. Better lockup and better wear life versus a performance single. We went with a nice pressure and they will be very slippable.

I'm currently doing a stock auto to manual and wanted to go with this transmission from now instead of redoing this again later. I have too much to do to this 328 before I'm seeing boost on it.

Yeah it’ll give you a nice segment of time to break it in :wink I did that on my first build with a twin.
