I'd say this is the best long term goal. Now I've just gotta save the morning for all that.

Current plans for the car in the short term include an exterior detail, which I'm both excited and not excited for. I'm no professional detailer but I plan on clay barring, some buffing to get of the bigger swirl marks, and maybe a ceramic coating. I've read and seen some ceramic coating work and it looks so good. I'll post pics when it's all said and done.

3.38 is the best oem diff you could swap in until you get into custom lockup ratio units

Here's a pic from a Zionsville Swap Meet that I went to the past weekend. My car is clean but this 39,000 mile 325 was even cleaner. Let me know if I saw you there this last weekend!

I've got a friend who is selling some headers. I think they're these headers Would these be a good purchase since they will probably be pretty cheap?

So today I got around to making an attempt to fix that lip sag that I was talking about earlier in this thread. It's still not perfect, but if people at car meets didn't notice until i mentioned it then it should be even better now. The method I used it kinda janky, but I think its clean enough and is only visible from underneath. If you have any thoughts or recommendations on this please let me know.

You might try getting a length of steel flatbar from Tractor supply, painting it black, cleaning the inside top surface of the lip, and adhering the flat bar with 3M super strength double sided automotive tape (It is available at Wal-Mart with the autobody supplies). The tape is super strong, it is what OEM manufacturers like Mitsubishi use to adhere and weatherproof side skirts and fender flares on vehicles. That should be totally invisible and work like a charm.

I was trying that with the steel that I had now, but I feel like if I went that route and did it correctly by going across the whole lip, it would work even better. I'm just trying to think of how to bend it correctly to go along the inside of the lip better. Anyways, yeah I agree that would be better and would probably hold the entire lip up evenly that way. Thanks for recommending that 3M tape because I couldn't think of a way to get it adhered when I tried it earlier!

The more I look at what I did, the more and more I don't like the way it looks. Looks like I'll try this route when I get the bend figured out.

I second this, 3.38 is an ideal ratio for sure. I have been happy with mine, and I have tried them all.

Buy the M50 Swap kit From M50manifold.com. Great directions and quality parts. As for a LSD Diff I also Vote 3.38 from a Automatic M3; I run the 3.38 and love it. it does Pull some revs on the highway but still a good compromise and I still get high 20's on the highway.

Been about 2 years since a post, but here's the car! Major things done have been M50 Intake, Kassel Performace tune, Solowerks S1 coilovers, Style 32 wheels (17x8 and 17x9), Frenched the headlights, and other stuff that I'm struggling to remember. But here she is!
