Timm, thank you very much for the information.
What should I look for with the check? current? resistance?
The previous owner told me he'd replace 4 transmission so it's not the original but! it's the exact specs from ZF.
This particular transmission has refurbished by authorized ZF workshop.
It was belong to the same model and year.
BTW, if I want to try to sync between the DME-EWS, there's a way to save the file in any case it's goes wrong?
Thank you
Ok..
I've received my K-DCAN cable and connect it to the car under the hood.
- I've scanned the EML (no error).
- Then the DME 1 and DME 2 and I've received the following errors:
20180421_184939.jpg
and then:
20180421_184944.jpg
and it throw me back to the main page.
Some more information:
Automatic transmission scan results:
20180421_184711.jpg
1. How to fix the EML connection problem?
2. What else should I look for?
Thank you

The error code states that one of the solenoids in the gearbox is taking excessive current. I would erase that error and see if it immediately comes back.....

I forgot to mention, I did delete the code and it disappeared.
So, still in TRANS FAIL-SAFE PROG?

Yes...
The error I received while trying to scan the DME's is probably because I've a serial printer connected to Com 1 by default. I'll Uninstall it and try again later.
Unfortunately, this didn't help.
Still unable to connect to the DME's
If you are still in TRANS FAIL-SAFE PROG then you still have an error code - and if it is the same as last time you have a real problem with one of the solenoids.....

The same code appears yesterday.
The transmission has been refurbished by ZF 9 years ago and wait in their warehouse.
The transmission has been tested and dyno and declare to be 100% working.
So, it can't be something in the transmission itself.
It must be somewhere else.
I think that the same code also appeared before the transmission replaced.
I've the K-DCAN cable that i bought from here:
http://m.eobdtool.co.uk/wholesale/bm...able.html#item
It's is compatible with inpa for the e38 750il?
Thank you
I think INPA has to be a very specific version to work with 750 DMEs.
I just use DIS to access them.
Could someone have more information how to connect to the DME's in the 750?
Thank's
No suggestion?
I've been prepping to buy a 750, and some of the information I've come across regarding accessing the v12 is that you need a serial interface for INPA to access all the modules, including the DMEs. I believe this holds true, even for your 2001, but if someone can confirm the opposite please let jump in. Here's some reading on the topic:
http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...lained-t85191/
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=975025
Here is the serial interface that I built. This person also makes fully working cables, but I wanted to build it myself. : http://openlabs.co/OSHW/almost-free-ADS-interface
I haven't tested it on an E38 V12, but I do have it confirmed working on a 2000 323.
If you do end up getting a serial interface, you cannot hook it up to a serial/rs232 to USB converter as that will defeat the whole purpose.
So finally I was able to set up DIS and here's the results:

Thank you for any help
I reckon that diagnostics is actually indicating an internal EGS code:
P1748 15 Transmission Control Module Self-Test
.....and that the error messages you are getting from diagnostics is warning you that the version you are using is not compatible with your car - hence the erroneous error code descriptions.
Diagnostics are also reporting that the EGS is not getting the correct voltage on Terminal 30 - as is a couple of other modules.
With this information I would first replace the ignition switch (the source of terminal 30):
http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/244045
...and if that makes no difference I would replace the EGS (usually a few quid from Ebay as long as you can find one for the facelift 750i).

Hey Tim, thank you for your fast response.
Do you mean that my DIS version is not compatible with the EGS module?
If so, I'll try the V44 instead of V57.
I'll try to replace the ignition switch and will update.
Thank you very much! :-)
Please delete

As Timm said above, get a new ignition switch and many errors might magically disappear, beyond the Terminal 30 one.

This is the right one, right?
That's the one:
