Not sure how precise the city dump scale is but I weighed my car
Full interior
me in it(200 pounds)
half tank of gas
weighed in at 3400 pounds exactly

Looks awesome. Great read to help out with my swap.
Got around to get started on the AC, started with the AC compressor bracket and fitting the new sanden compressor on. Bracket was SUPER easy to install and the fitment is great so far. I found a guy locally that will come to my house and make new lines.. He's coming over tomorrow!
Pictures of the new brackets and compressor installed, I didn't tighten anything down yet in case I have to take it off again.
Ac lines have been made
The guy that made my lines also welded the pressure sensor fitting onto the stock bmw location,
All I had to do was connect the lines, connect the power line to compressor and charge it up. I also had to remove the water pump loop I had for the heater and put rubber plugs... It looks like crap with the worm clamps but my plan is to pull the water pump later, tap them and add hard plugs..
Here are some pics of the lines, the wiring is still a lil messy and i'll clean that up later
-Milestone today as I officially drove my car into work.... Forgot what a pain in the ass it is to have a stick shift car in stop and go traffic along my 35 mile commute to work.... BUT I had ice cold ac to make it better!!
Last night as I was checking things out on the bottom of my car I noticed my driveshaft is actually rubbing somewhere as some of the driveshaft paint is visibly rubbed off, not sure if it's the stock brace under the car or the body itself.... Will need to figure that one out.
Ok it went from me never hearing the driveshaft rub to now I hear it rub BAD during hard acceleration or just blipping the throttle.
From reading through previous ls swapped e36 threads it looks like i have some rear end stuff to replace, i need to do some more research on what brands to get but i'm going to replace
diff bushing
subframe bushings
diff bolt
diff brace?
Will need to source all this stuff and get going
Did the front diff bolt loosen up on you? Kind odd it just happened...
Nice work on the AC...not sure how you makes so much progress...or is it we don't make much!
Which Sanden and which bracket did you end up using? I tried commenting on your Instagram, no answer.
Most likely cause of your DS rub are the subframe bushings. While you are there, also replace the RTABs. As far as what to get, I would recommend OEM type of bushings...

Not sure how it happened either or what the culprit is, but i have been having fun with the car and pulling off some nice launches... The tires although not drag radials are pretty sticky so i'm guessing that broke something. I'll lift up the rear end this weekend and do some CSI work!!

Sorry about that, I thought I responded to the question on there, i'm pretty new to IG so i'll blame it on my noobness. I am using the dirty dingo low side ac kit which comes with Sanden SD7B10 and the dirty dingo brackets.
Here is the ebay link for more pics >> https://www.ebay.com/itm/172755532568
and if you are interested in how involved the install is here are the instructions>> https://www.dirtydingo.com/shop/page...ID=38&CDpath=3

I vaguely remember you replacing them due to something, did you have the same symptons? I also notice a clunck type sound... What I do remember from your thread was you mentioning you never want to do it again haha not looking forward to it.
Noted on the rtabs, i'll get those ordered up tonight. I already ordered diff bushings and the diff brace. When you say OEM type you mean rubber not poly?
My symptoms were rubbing sounds of DS under acceleration. I did't have cluncking though. Yes, I would go for rubber bushings

Progress update
Ordered and installed a new pcv to intake hose, when i got my car tuned the tuner suggested I replace it as it was a bit kinked. Found one that is pre molded and first perfectly. This is what i ordered https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Ordered the following parts and they should arrive today, since I don't have a press nor a welder I am going to have a local shop install them Thursday
Lemforder Rear Trailing Arm Bushings (RTAB) - OEM Rubber - E36, E46, Z4 (Pair)
E36 Rear Subframe/Chassis Reinforcement Kit
E36 M3 Rear Subframe Mount Set (All 4 Mounts)
Differential Mount Bushing Set, Poly 75D (E36) - from AKG
Bolt on diff brace from Autowerks
I don't mean to hijack but is any one else experiencing extremely slow image load in this thread?
I travel for a living and had previously chalked it up to poor hotel internet but here I sit in my home with 83 Mbps down and 77 Mbps up and the thread still languishes in a state of perpetual image load.

yeah seems like cubeupload is loading very slowly or not at all, i'll try to find a better host
What did you end up using for your expansion tank? Do you have any pictures & routing? Any need for an ambient catch can?
Thanks. I'm trying to decide which way I will go as well. A lot of that will be determined with space available.
Right now I'm researching if I can tee the 2 lines together from the control valve to the firewall that runs to the heater core. Do you have any experience with that?
I ended up just deleting the heater from my car, when I was using the stock tank I did have the line running from the tank going to the IN side of the water pump heat. I plan to run heat at some other time but I live in Arizona so it's not that critical for me to run it.
In one of my previous post here you can see how I had the stock setup done!
I plan on updating the pics with a new host tomorrow but I do have an update, I had taken the car to a shop to take care of the bushing and welding the reinforcement plates. Car is now running great on acceleration. The shop was flatout motorworks in Tempe AZ, Leroy there does a lot of work on BMW track cars and he did a great job on mine.
The cause of the driveshaft rubbing was a completely broken front diff bolt, it snapped and the front diff bushing was also completely blown out. They said the rest of the bushings were fine.
