just whoring out some more progress pics

My buddy is the one doing the fab work and it's been a great progress so far, get pictures constantly and he lives about 5 mins away from me so i go visit often to go over how things should be routed etc..

Most of the stainless is about done, only thing left is the dump tube off the waste gate
Just got the intercooler yesterday and that's gonna get finished up soon

Once everything is completed we are going to turn it on to check for leaks then rip it all off to get everything ceramic/powder coated

    More pics!

Things that still need to be done

    -Mount coils remotely
    -new length plug wires
    -plumb turbo feed
-wire up wideband and boost controller
    -install hydroboost brakes/plumbing

We are currently putting the car back together in order to fire it and check for any obvious leaks/issues, then we are going to take it apart again for ceramic/powder coat for "bling" and heat control :P

Hey i got a question about you'r power steering lines. Mainly the Banjo fitting to -6AN. Where did you get them or how can i find them.
51Zo-rCjUtL._SL1500_.jpgFound these from vibrant performance on Amazon that are the right size.(14x1.5 and 16x1.5). But will they work? I know the GM pump requires the fitting that has a O-ring on the adapter from 16x1.5 to -6AN. Also follow you'r insta and the turbo start up was pleasing. All the fab work is really top notch.

thanks for the compliments man! ireally happy how it's turning out!!

Yup you got it those would work, I went through my order history now and i actually bought mine on ebay, they were each 10 bucks and came with crush washers,

    m16 one i bought - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Banjo-Bolt-...0AAMXQlUNRWx9M
    m14 one i bought - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Banjo-Bolt-...AAAOSwIgNXsoEa

Vibrant brand is great, long as you get the right thread size/pitch you are golden.

Thanks for the help, yea the Vibrant ones are almost 30$(each), but they are also black lol. Not that it should justify the high price...I'll cough up the 60$.

Ohhh trust me I spend plenty more to get teh right color combo haha, I recently re-did my power steering lines again because i used to have a blue hose+ silver fittings, now i have black hoses+fittings haha.

You wont be able to see the fittings BUT vibrant is some of the best you can get, i try to get vibrant for the most part,

I know what you mean. Does anyone know what thread sealant is used on this? I bought a variety of npt hex head allen socket pipe plugs and the only way to not get a leak is with the red sealant. But there is so many out there and i would like to know which specifically is on this. Random question.

Got cha, will just pick something up and try it. My leak is on my oil filter relocation adapter where a npt pipe block off is located, thank goodness it's a easy spot to get too.

    updates:

semi finished the coil relocation stuff, i ended up tearing out the blower assembly and shoving the coil packs in there, that was the best place to put them so i can hide them somewhat and the wires are a good distance from the hot pipe. I'm using a universal MSD wire kit with 90 degree ends on both sides, i cut them to length, the bracket i used is one from amazon and i'm using the stock blower assembly threads to hold the bracket into place. Wires are routed through the AC port hole on the passenger side and through the heater port on the driver side

Yesterday for fathers day I was given the gift of " green light for staying in the garage all day" without being bothered and the wife+kids would take turns bringing me beer haha. The car is finally back at my house, I tore it all apart, still can't believe how all these parts somehow fit under the hood, none the less I will be taking them all this week to get ceramic coated and possibly powder coated.

I am unsure if i want to leave the cold side polished, my other ideas are either getting it chromed OR having it done up in black chrome or gloss black. I have seen some other cars do flat black on hot and gloss black on cold and it looks really fucking cool.

Also while i was tearing it down and got done so fast i said why not and knocked out the cam swap, removed the old TSP Magic stick 4 cam and installed my new BTR stage 2 turbo cam

    Still pending to do
    -Fuel
    -Brake lines
    -Vacuum lines

    Updates on the car

-I started removing some unneeded brackets from the driver side fender area.... I really wish I hadn't messed with it because I ended up royally screwing it up to the point of making some really bad holes lol, So I researched how to use body filler and ended up doing some body work on that area and painting it. The color isn't exactly the same ] to the rest of my car but it's close enough, with everything on it you can't even tell, plus now it's at least smooth in that area which is what i originally wanted it.

Exhaust side is all ceramic coated flat black
also got the valve covers powder coated

Injectors are in, fuel lines are done. I went with -8 for feed and -6 for return all the way back back the pump top and return top. I used PTFE lines, cool thing about how this worked is that I was able to hold the lines with the OEM bracketes that hold the existing fuel hard lines.

Pictures of the rally road dual hangar setup, fuel pump is a walbro 525

    Injectors are IDX 1050

Video of it running, idle sounds pretty good with the BTR stg 2 turbo cam

I don't have any pictures but I went down the path of doing the hydroboost setup for the car, ended up ripping it out and not using it, simply for the fact that I don't want to run 2 more power steering lines. For now I have manual brakes via the chase bays setup..... Not sure if i'm going to like it but it will do for now just so i can get the car running.

Later plan is to go back to a brake booster setup and put the abs back inline, I will tackle that on the next round when I do a clutch swap. For now the priority is to get the car to the point where I can get a full dyno tune, right now it's running on a bench tune that my tuner did for me, no maf and using a 2 bar sensor (speed density tune)

Goal is to sell the hydroboost setup i have
