Hello everyone,
My 2013 740LiX began hesitating while driving .. kind of a bump/stumble ...
engine seems fine, etc...
first time I pulled codes with Schwaben scanner... only had “CDC1.04 no message (data, transmission line, 0x1 AF), receiver DME/DDE, EGS”
After cleared codes, drove again...after about 45 minutes, stumbling resumed. Pulled codes that evening, and several more to include,
”CDA426/INTERMITTENT message fault (status, distribution, longitudinal torque, front axle, 19.3.4), DME/DDE receiver, VTG transmitter”,
From the GWS..
“E09400/intermittent message (data display, drive train, 0x3FD)missing, receiver DME/DDE, EGS”,
E09141/intermittent message missing, gear selector switch missing, receiver EGS”
Any thoughts? Thanks for your help.
Well, the common denominator is the EGS (gearbox computer) - messages between modules are constantly checked and the error messages indicate that messages were either scrambled or not received. The GWS is the gear intelligent gear position switch which is also complaining it cannot get data from the physical switch or communicate with the EGS - so as an alternative it could be this simple module that is the root cause.
