    help for 17" style 42 on e46 tire fitment

The wheels fit but the tire sidewalls are too thick and even though I rolled my fenders the tires still rub. I tried looking up tire specs online but most people put 18" style 42 wheels on their E46's and I need help with tire specs for mine please.
