I have an SLR kit due to show up tomorrow. After a FB argument convo, the MG people reached out to me and I'm working out borrowing a kit. I also should be able to get a Wisefab kit to borrow too. Since I'm borrowing them, I can install but not "test out" the kits.
Only down side is that I'll likely have to pay for shipping. So I'm thinking about taking donations (gofundme/paypal/venmo?) to cover that aspect of it. If anyone near me or doesn't mind fronting another kit, i'm very open to that too.
What do you guys think? What comparisons would you like?

Ugh I hate these. Unless you’re going to install each kit, align the car, measure the geometry change throughout the range of motion, and show the differences in driver feedback while in drift, this seems like a huge waste of time.
I can do all of that but drive the car. I would love to be able to drive each one and give feedback but I can't front that kind of cash. If someone was going to buy the kit anyway and would just be willing to let me use it first, That's fine too. I'm not sure how else to make it happen. Very open to ideas. I at least have an SLR kit for myself already.

don't you also have to weld shit to your subframe for the MG kit?
also, screencaps of said FB argument
Should spend time you’d waste doing this, on driving car instead. Everyone here already knows slr is best
I like this idea for sure. I approve.
If we (SLR) had a running BMW in the shop and the budget to do this I would be down to do it but I am very biased obviously so not sure anyone would take it seriously.

Everyone? Based on what I see online, everyone argues about that. I'd love to physically see the differences in person. Even without installing them, you can take measurements and bolt them onto a car to see the full range of adjustment. I think even without driving, it would be a great comparison. Like component weights. Caster angle. Control arm length.

Sorta interesting tidbit to go with that Facebook argument. I just got off the phone with a guy who is a crew chief for a pro am team in Arizona and he said they put the MG kit on their car and it lasted 3 hours before the weld on clevis mounts broke. They were doing solo testing on a skid pad and hit nothing and one cracked the subframe and the other twisted from pretty much normal use. They are dumping that setup for ours.
pix or it didn't happen!

That thread was awesome
I started getting a bit heated in that thread. Not gonna lie.
lol, its still going!
I don't really get why though. Most of the things people complain about don't make sense. The main diff I see is that WF forces full contact patch all the time while SLR favors the leading wheel (or was it follow?). MG is more like SLR but no ackerman, with control arm length, that that 4mm drop on the heim where the control arm mounts to the subframe. That 4mm drop was explained to me by the MG owner. I still don't like that it misaligns the steering rack and control arm. IE bump steer.

That facebook thread was litttttttt. Can't believe the founder of Wisefab chimed in as well!
Basically every big hitter was in there.

Yeah it definitely got out of hand. I take partial responsibility for that, I was in a bad mood before it even began.

skimmed through the post
my thoughts are that SLR is the best but a few things still remain true
1. I think SLR is the best cause of this forum and the e-trust i have for Chelsea
2. People who run wisefab and MG kits still shred hard and don't seem to have issues
3.
instagram @andyitslit
point 3 is the most important point.
