The INPA per this thread doesn't seem to have an engine category for the S52: http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh...xperimentation
I got INPA up and running for my airbag light... worked great! But then The "Check Engine" light came on when I fixed a loose spark plug. In the "Engine" section I couldn't find the S52. I used the "M52 OBDII" setting, and it cleared the light, but I wonder whether I'll have problems if/when I need to actually diagnose my S52. Any comments appreciated.
I'll say that I really appreciate this site. Me and my car might not have survived together without it.
The S52 is an M52 in every possible way, and in diagnostics as well.

Well except the hotter cams and some displacement.
