A bunch of branches decided to strip down off a pine tree an onto my car during the last Nor'easter (almost half the side of the tree). Caused about a dozen or so pings and dents (most severely on the hood). It's hard to see the car in the pic, but it's that snow covered thing under all that green stuff on the right (on the left is my Saab). Searching out body shops now. If anyone know of one in the Stamford CT area that can take on the e31, please let me know.

Sorry to hear that, that's real bad luck. But... garage?! Can't imagine that snow is great for the eight either!!
What da? There's no car there! Major bummer.

My condolences. The same thing happened to my 8 a few years ago.

My garage is a wood shop (and a little narrow for the 8er), so I need to keep it outside. I do keep it under a cover and nice and clean and wash it pretty much every outing (it's still all original and close to mint). The damage isn't terrible, but there are quite a lot of small dings on the hood, both front fenders and one on the roof. Hopefully I can find someone that can take on the repairs properly (probably need a new hood) and bring it back to it's former glory.

I would look into a reputable Paintless Dent Repair company. With all the hail we get in Texas, I have seen some amazing work from these guys. That way you don't have to worry about matching any paint.
Good luck!

...the price of cool ain't cheap!
TxGR8White read my mind, and he and I are only a hundred miles apart -- hail is an ever-present threat around here, and the local paintless dent repair guys can work miracles. If you can find a good one up there, and if the damage is as minor as you suggest, this may save you a world of time and money compared to panel replacement, body and paint work, etc., etc. I highly recommend you at least look into it, especially on a very original car.
Cheers, John
Hi Paul,
I'm sorry to hear this. If your hood is not repairable I can give you one for some beer money. I keep one just in case (but it's not red and needs a lot of TLC)
Good luck

Hi Paul,
Bummer! We lost part of a fence to a tree in the Nor'easter, but thankfully that was all.
I used Dent Wizard in the past on one of my E9's and they did a great job. At the time one of their practitioners was on a circuit and visited a local car wash here in Westport once a week. They probably visit someplace in Stamford on a regular basis as well.
Best Regards,

I think I can get a bunch of them out using the paintless method, but there is a decent sized one on the hood towards the windshield that dented that little bend by the cowl. Looks like that one could be a tough fix. I'm taking it to a couple of shops in the next few days for estimates. Are hoods NLA? I have seen them on-line, but doesn't say if they are available or not.

Sorry to see that! Hope to see your car again tip top at some events this year.
