Anyone really knowledgabe troubleshooting a No Crank Condition?

I have a 2015 M3 - 6 speed manual - that was in a minor accident. No airbags deployed and the battery safety terminal appears fine. It did sit for several months and won't even crank. I'm trying to troubleshoot the cause and I'm struggling.

    The simple stuff-

Battery voltage is fine. Live data suggests push button start command is being seen, key is being seen (sometimes... this is intermittent depending on where in the live data you look). Clutch pedal is being seen, gear selector is seen... still starter won't engage.

nest step is to see if starter solenoid is seeing power.

Any suggestions on how to trace?

PS... this may be a key/cas issue as I'm getting some flakey results on key recognition and I'm seeing some communications faults with FEM and some other modules.
