I have a 2005 BMW 520i , my fan is constantly running on high , soon as I start the engine the fan kicks on I changed oil temperature sensor coolant temperature sensor and AUC sensor nothing has worked people are telling me that I need to program the car and it made sense because there’s a message on my screen that says “head unit not “programmed correctly”

Are you taking about the aux fan for engine or the blower motor for the cabin. If its the aux fan in front of the motor, and the motor is the n51/52 then its most likely caused by a failing coolant pump. Some-one who has access to a good diagnostic scanner will be able to read the faults, usually: speed deviation coolant pump, blockage in cooling system or jammed coolant pump. Head unit not programmed correctly will have nothing to do with the cat overheating.
