I found a euro vendor on ebay and I was able to acquire pretty much all the rubber I'll need for the front-end. I also picked up some eurometric steering rack bushings.
2 questions...
Where are yall finding the rubber ringed washers- 31351115805
I found 2 on ebay but Im thinking of trying to DIY some... I just dont know if I'd get good sustainable adhesion from a 3m type polyurethane
Second, on the steering rack bushings, is there typically anything else that needs to be replaced? I found these bushings - 32111118474 as part of the steering damper but Im not sure I need to go that far.
Don't forget new "securing plate"s 32111116553 and
parts #1 and #18

Thank you, that wasnt on my radar. I found tie rod ends for cheap on rock auto. to be honest I dont think mine are busted but I will see.
Front end does need a sharp refresh. Im hoping new rubber in bushings and those rubber washers do the trick.
What condition are the control arms ball joints ?
Randy
Unverified but they pass visual inspection. I went cheap(er) and bought the inner/outer rubber mounting/bushing. I didnt wanna buy whole new arms, especially since I have the early and you cant find them easily. Rockauto and other reputable parts vendors SAY they have the control arms but they are for the LATE models.
Bavarian Autosport used to sell an "anti shimmy" kit which mostly consisted of the sway bar to control arm washers with extra thick rubber. I just searched their website and couldn't find anything. I think a spacer of urethane would work just fine.
Unfortunately early model control arms are hard to come by. bavauto only has the left side. Which is part of why I swapped to an early front subframe in my 79.

Do we have any polyurethane makers? Maybe Jester would be interested in making a batch. The part seems to be NLA. Unfortunately I only have 2 wahsers. I wonder if I can mate this up with a poly washer or not.
