    2007 335i

i found a 2007 335i Automatic (with Nav) has 151k miles, 2nd owner "lady driven" so pretty much is all stock, all i know from maintenance is that they did the water pump recently and oild change and radiator flush. I haven't found anyone to give me a dealer maintenance record yet. the car looks really clean on the pictures and the interior too. I haven't looked at it in person since its like 3 hours away. i want to get inputs before making the drive.

she is asking 5800. is this car worth the effort? how much should i offer?

If the turbos have to be replaced in a year, can you do it or will you have to pay a shop? Can you do all the maintenance like coils and vanos solenoudsand fluids and plugs and cylinder head intake carbon cleaning? Seems like a reasonable price but the 11 year old 150k mileage twin turbo car will be needing more and more work. I love my 08 535i, but I do all the work on it so maintenance costs is parts only and not labor.

i can do most of the work that doesn't require a special tool, like lets say the vanos. also the intake walnut blast i was reading there's a kit that is not crazy expensive and its easy to do.

Go for it then. You can find DIY for most jobs. N54tech dot com is the place I go for my N54 tech. You can use a compressor and siphon hose on the carbon or a proper blaster, but you have to manually scrape the gooey stuff out - goo does not blast. At the same time you have the intake off, you might as well pull the oil filter housing and replace the gasket there and the oil cooler gasket if equipped with cooler. These cars leak there and the valve cover gasket and eventyallyntgeboilmkan gasket.
