Cannot see a VIN Number at all

Can you send pic example ?
I can see windscreen code on glass but nothing stamped visibly on steel of the fire wall ??

This is a left steer car. Unsure yet if US or Euro .

Any more help to find VIN appreiciated

Google 'e31 VIN location'. Goto images. It will show various VIN locations. It should have a VIN on the metal below passenger side windshield wiper. It's the second picture on my Google images search.

CB009x8 falls within a range of e31 VINS produced in 1990. But Hartge might have Re VINNED it.
