    Hartge h2 = hartge 6.0 ?

Hi , Any HARTGE 850 V12 people out there ?
Has anyone got any good info on H2 Hartge upgrades ? I have a car with an H2 , but cannot find out much about it and Hartge in Germany is not replying to my emails .

The Car is an 850...1992.....Left hand drive.
Was abandoned and I bought as a restoration prospect....

    1.How many H2 conversions were done ?
2.are there differences between H2 and the 6.0 valve cover engines ? Or is it the same with different design covers ?

3.was the H2 always married up with 6 speed Manual ?
    4. How many known Convertible 850’s exist ? And who did them ? (Mines one)
    5. Did all H2 Hartge end up with suspension mods as well ? What was the package ?
    6. Wondering if the car is worth restoring .....
    7. How many H2 V12s are in existence ?
    8. Does a H2 Register exist ? My car has zero paperwork and I playing detective to find out its history.

any info or help greatly appreciated.

    Parts needed.

Replace Front nose cone /Bumper (Damaged)
    Rear Bumper
    Exhaust
Set of 4 appropriately Wide and Kick ass wheels.
    Right side headlight
all front and rear indicator lights missing
    Seats front and rear.
Speedo cluster. Console and most switches.....
Need to make Hood bows and new Convertible roof........copy a design from some kind person.

If yours is a real Hartge H2 car, there's less than 20 of them. And a convertible as well? That's probably the only one. Worth saving? Oh yeah...

It's pictures like these that are going to put Eva in surgery again. I already wanted to build a set of headers before I saw this picture, and that back bumper takes years off the look of the rear. IMHO, of course.

I hope Google translate has improved over the years. A while back (it had to be at least 5 years, maybe more) I bought something from German eBay from a seller who said he would only ship to Europe. However, I had a friend in Germany to whom it could be shipped, and he would then take care of shipping to the US. I used Google translate to send an email in German explaining this to the seller. I got back a VERY angry, somewhat profane diatribe accusing me of welshing on the deal, and a contract is a contract, yada yada yada. Quite obviously something had literally gotten lost in translation. At that point I had my friend in Germany explain the situation to the seller, and then all was well.

For the life of me however, I can't recall exactly what it was I purchased. It may have been the euro sideskirts for my old 6er, or maybe the roof rack and luggage box for the 8er . . . getting old sucks. LOL.

    No H2 850 owners popping up ?
Is it true there are only about 20 of them ?
I still don’t know much about them, what mods were done to HARTGE body’s etc ? Wider front / rear guards ?
Did they always go with 6 speed manual ? Or some Auto ?

VIN is visible at the lower left coner of the winshield, where it is permanently affixed. You could just type it...

I don't think the euro spec's have a VIN on the lower left hand corner of the windshield. None of my three do, only the NA six speed does. Open the hood and right by the passenger side windshield wiper you will see the VIN stamped on the firewall. Almost all euro spec bmw's from that era locate the VIN there. I don't know if Hartge x'd the original VIN out and built these under a new VIN like Alpina does/did. If it is I am unsure where the new VIN would be located.

We definitely need pics of this rare and mythical beast. Lots of them!
