I'm not sure this is the right place to post this, but I want to introduce my car to the forums. I'm new around here, used to hang out at bimmerboard.be, Belgian BMW forum.
I would like to introduce my 1990 E32 730i
Introduction
Pardon my English, since it is not my native tongue. My first ride was an Opel (Vauxhall) Astra F 1.6 16v sport, with 100hp. It brought my from A to B and I enjoyed driving it. When I was following a 1-year class of mechanics, there was a guy who brought his Mazda Xedos 9 2.0 V6. I fell in love with the sound of a six-cylinder engine. Not much later I bought myself a BMW E36 320i. By far one of the greatest cars I've owned so far.
A while later a friend of mine sold his E32 730i. He was still at school, following car-bodywork (again, sorry if my English is not 100% correct, you know what I mean), and for his final exam he had to repaint a car. Therefor he bought that E32. It was a piece of junk with scratches all over it, and a lot of work to be done mechanically. After the paint job it looked fantastic, and I fell in love with it. So I bought it for almost nothing. Like the price he paid for the paint. It had 288 000km on the odometer. At least, an E32 is a REAL BMW. Not like the shit they produce nowdays.
THIS is BMW:
This is shit:
Defects when I bought it
- Play on steering box
- Play on steering rods
- 4 oval rims (thank you Belgian roads)
- Rough idle
- Flexible fuel line was leaking
- viscokoppeling zat vast

- A/C not working
- Heather only blowing hot air
- ...
and a lot more small stuff
Mods & fixes so far
- AC Schnitzer rims
- Eibach pro-kit springs (+ adapter on the rear shocks to raise it 1cm)
- Replaced all steering rods
- Replaced steering box with a second hand box (still has play ...)
- Full maintenance
- Built in a modern LPG system
- Replaced sumframe bushings

What’s wrong with e83’s?
Me E30 87/ 325i + F25 12/ M-Sport + E32 94/ 740i
G/F’s E34 92/ 525iT + F48 18/ X1
opinion: those are cars that have nothing to do with what BMW stood for: sharknose, six-in-line engines, ... Here in Europe people drive cars like 5GT's and X3's with a 2 liter diesel engine, claiming that they are driving REAL BMW's. It's a jeep with a tractor engine.
I very much enjoy mine very easy to work on m54, great in snow, one of the best handling small suv’s You can buy, only thing I hate is it still has some e46 poor interior build quality. To be honest one of the last acceptable bmw’s they made until 2007 when they put the awful n52 in the x3. But yes I agree I absolutely hate the way bmw is now, they are too worried about following trends. I very much enjoy driving my e32 and comparing it to all the bmws I’ve ever owed it’s the most comfortable and enjoyable to drive, it has just the right amount of modern touch and classic design

I agree, and the thing is: regardless how hard you try, you will never be able to destroy your E32. Modern BMW's are for the scrapyard once they reach 250 000km. I also own a E46 with M54 engine, and I must say that this is where the BMW-timeline ends for me. I don't care about what's built after the E46/E39.
