Hey so I’ve looked but I’m still confused and haven’t got a straight answer. So my question is what are my option for a DME I’ve seen people say 403 and 402 and all types of colored labels. But which do i actually ews from my understanding i have ews 2 so the dme doesn’t have to match up for it to run it’s just the key and ews right? Also i thought the 403 was vanos. I’m so confused I’m sorry guys lol i just need to know which dme will plug and play or won’t require a ews delete chip in the dme.
A simple google search showed this https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...02-and-403-Ecu

My friend is running an 403 in his nv m50 swapped e30 318is with no issues.
402 or 403 work, just don't swap the chips in them with the other, it will catch on fire. 413 is NOT the correct dme, do not use it.
