Since I am checking and repairing/replacing the vacuum system parts in my 1998 328ic I noticed that the vacuum hose from the manifold to the tee, then to the one way valve is outrageously expensive (to me) for just a vacuum line. The best price I have found is $44 for what appears to be just a chaff proofed rubber vacuum line. Is there something I am missing here? Can I just replace it with regular proper diameter vacuum line?
BTW, if you haven't looked at this area of your car I recommend it. I found all sorts of problems, both tee's broken or cracked, several lines cracked at the ends (ie. leaking). Manifold gaskets leaking, ICV slightly stuck, CCV full of crap etc. This on a 134K mileage car that was always garaged. OH, and also don't forget to change the power steering fluid if you go in there mine was black!
Thanks for any help on the vac line question.

Absolutely no need to buy OEM vacuum hoses lol. I deleted the booster and the line running to to fuse box (feeds the muffler flap) and what feeds the SAP.
Nice work on the maintenance!

Pic is broken for me. But replacing the vacuum lines is on my to do list. On mine the check valve after the tee is not connected to anything and just dangling. I believe it's involved in the SAP?
The line from the hard line by the t-stat housing over to the SAP equipment was closer to dust than a rubber line so at least have that redone.
I just bought a couple feet of generic vacuum tubing that I'll just cut to length.

OP the picture you linked isn't working for me. But any auto parts store will sell appropriate vacuum lines, t fittings, and check valves.
