HELP!! My bmw is still not starting!!

Ok, so here goes....i own a 2000 bmw 323i. It wasnt giving me any heat so i decided to remove the intake manifold and replace the coolant lines that come out of the motor, and while i was in there i replaced the ccv. So in putting it back together i didnt tighten the throttle body connector and when turning on the car it gave me the dredded eml light and the triangle of death. So i tightened the throttle body correctly changed the plugs and still no start, it kind of wants to but doesnt... and still have the eml light and traingle of death...
SO HELP!! please....i need it running...

    Craig.

Ps and it ran fine before i took it apart!

I would check all your work and make sure the connectors are tight. If the car ran before the work it should run now

^ This. Plus, you can read the errors with an OBD-scanner/INPA to get a clue of what was not put back together correctly.

That's not my experience. If you have a smartphone, you can pick up an ELM327 for under $5 and use an OBD-app to at least get some idea of the error codes you are getting. If it doesn't tell you the error, you can at least google the code it's giving, there are plenty of lists.

Nicest solution is to have a laptop with INPA and corresponding cable which will give you detailed info on every ECU in your car; it's a must for anyone tinkering with these cars imo (and saves you money quickly since most dealers here charge $30 to read error codes).
