brake fluid not coming out of rear bleeders

I Recently tried to bleed the brakes on my 530i because the pedal has been going to the floor so i started with the right rear and no fluid came out so i tried bleeding the left rear and it had the same problem but the front wheels seem to work.

What's the production date and does it have ASC (button under the ashtray near the shifter)? Early ASC systems, and maybe later ones as well, supposedly require special tools to bleed the brakes. Something about holding a valve open with an electrical signal, don't know details.

Or something is gunked up, either in the caliper or further upstream.

Take the bleeders all the way out and try to blow through them they are probably clogged with crap. I have this problem with older cars all the time

^^ yup, or sometimes crud collected at the bleeder seat area, nothing a piece of stiff wire won't fix.
If this is the case you are well overdue for flushing the entire brake hydro system.
