Trying to figure out how to remove the cluster airbag light from dash once you remove the stock seats ???? Is it just a matter if the seat belts or the moduLe not plugged in ?

Both sides? If you already have removed your OE seats and have the airbag light on you'll need an SRS reset tool to clear it.
The pass seat has an occupancy sensor as well as the seat belt connection.
Ebay sells a plug-in module to defeat the occupancy sensor.
Drivers seat AFAIK only has a seat belt connection to worry about.

You need modules for all three sensors - occupant, passenger seat belt, drivers seat belt before the light can be reset. Otherwise it illuminate immediately upon start-up.

I tell ya I can never catch a break from this car - we put the passenger seat back in the stock one just so we could go to a car show low and behold darn airbag light won't go off !!! What's more the luxury cable for the seat belt won't go back on lol - will see if just unhooking the battery and rehooking will do - always something never a dull moment

The only airbag error that will reset itself is the passenger occupancy sensor.
The others you'll need to reset with a compatible scan tool.

Munich little code reader picked up no codes - there are no codes or errors lol though why does BMW work so hard against us - so your telling me I need a "special" reset tool lol this is absurd I just literally unplugged and replugged a perfectly running seat bmw can kiss my rear !

Mel, you need a dedicated SRS tool to reset it. Dope slap coming your way.
You may need to use INPA or another tool that is specifically designed to reset airbag warning systems because the seatbelt pretensioners were unplugged.
Those codes won't reset themselves like the seat occupancy sensor will.
It's not an issue that BMW specific either.
Any vehicle fitted with airbags will require a specialist reset when any critical component like an airbag or a pretensioner is unplugged.

My Holden 1998 Calais (an Australian GM product) required the airbag light to be reset with an SRS compatible tool when the airbag was disconnected to replace the steering wheel...
And I remember my 2000 Fairmont (Australian Ford) also requiring the use of an SRS compatible tool to reset the warning lights when it needed a new dashboard because of cracking in the plastic.
So the need for a specialist rest tool (not necessarily BMW specific) isn't unusual when dealing with these systems.
Any SRS compatible service tool should be capable of resetting the warnings.

Cool. Didn't see if it was mentioned, but Next time either disconnect the batt before or don't turn your key to access. position while the harness is unplugged at anytime. Same thing happened to me. I knew it from the get go, but forgot about it. Needed to move my seat back with power and used the key instead of shutting the doors and reopening to reset the standby power to seats.

It is a near certainty that there is a perfectly good reason and that that reason is some wire or connector or component is failed.
In theory you can code out equipment in the SRS (MRS) main module.
In reality that module is very very cranky about being recoded and when you try to "uncheck" equipment the module sometimes will brick.
For most people, just fixing the damn stuff properly is the way to go.
If you really wanted to try to code stuff out (race seats etc.) it can be tried but I'd do it with a couple junkyard spare modules in hand and not try coding my 'good one' ... (and actually my MRS module is a JY unit already...)
