Since on e34, the tube between the front seats only blows cold air and made a wierd hot/cold air streams in the car, i decided to plug it with a rag 5 months ago. It solved the problem but created another. It got SOAKING wet and floded the back floor mat with water.
Is it condensation or a leak somewhere on the pipes?

My guess is condensation. If it's a leak, it'd either be rain or smell like coolant.
I have a couple of ideas regarding how to modify the rear facevents so they blow heat, too. This is one of the dumbest things about an E34.
If the problem will persist, i will have to pull the dash out. Luckily we will have a full week of snow and rain so it will the perfect time to verify.
I will double seal the windshield with silicone and delete the double sunroof with a nice big piece of plexiglass.
What other places need to consider for leaks?
I would also check if the cowl where the heater blower is located is clogged with debris and not draining properly. At the same time check the heater box gasket.

Yes it has.
Man...my plans for cleaning and refreshing the interior was annihilated by a snow storm that will last till friday. At least i managed to pull all the carpet out and dry it.
I`d rather swap the engine with just a pair of pliers than deal with wather leaks in an old car.
